GCSE Results Day 2025

"All my hard work has paid off… I'm really pleased to be coming back next year."

The Abbey School is celebrating another year of strong outcomes, with more students than ever securing the key English and Maths passes needed for sixth form, college and apprenticeships.

This summer, over half of all students (50.5%) achieved both English and Maths at grade 4+, up from 49% last year. At the higher threshold, nearly one third (31.9%) achieved both subjects at grade 5+, a significant rise from 26.7% in 2024 and just 24% in 2023. Maths 5+ in particular has risen by more than 5 percentage points in a single year.
